Paul Gregg

Managing Director and Adviser

Paul is the proprietor of RI Advice Hobart and an adviser who specialises in high net worth clients and SMSFs. It is Paul’s objective to help financially successful people achieve their most important goals that are aligned with their most deeply held values. He has extensive experience in financial management, business management and tactical strategies which he has developed both in business and in his career in the navy.

He holds a Bachelor of Commerce, Dip Mar Studs, MIS, MBA, GAICD and is an FCPA. Paul had over 30 years service in the Royal Australian Navy, firstly as a submariner and then later as a reservist culminating in achieving the rank of Commander with his last posting being the Officer in Charge of ANR Diving Team 10. Paul is now an Army Reservist with 12/40th Battalion, Royal Tasmanian Regiment. In his spare time, he enjoys flying helicopters and planes, Krav Maga and teaching his two sons important life skills.

Tania Chau

Tania joined RI Advice’s team of financial experts in 2015 and has been providing advice to clients, family and friends since 1998. She is an experienced and dedicated financial adviser who has spent the last seven years working to meet the needs and expectations of her clients at MyState Wealth Management. In 2013, Tania received the FPA’s State Award for Community based on her fundraising work for Save the Children Australia.

Tania holds a Diploma of Financial Planning and became a Certified Financial Planner in 2001.

When she’s away from work, Tania likes to spend time with her family and enjoys an active lifestyle through her passion for multi-sport.

Richard is our Senior Financial Adviser and has worked with RI Advice since 1990. Prior to his time with us in Hobart, he owned the RI Advice (then Retireinvest) offices on the Gold Coast, where he and his partner mentored the financial well-being of several hundred clients. Richard specialises in helping clients to enjoy the best possible financial situation for their retirement.

Richard is an Associate of the Financial Planning Association and brings years of experience and insight to each of his clients.

When he's away from work, Richard enjoys sailing, golfing, and travelling whenever he can.

Lydia Horne

Chief Financial Officer

Lydia is the Chief Financial Officer at RI Advice Hobart and is in charge of business operations and client management. She has been a vital member of RI Advice since she started in 2006. Before undertaking her role as CFO, Lydia was a financial controller at an advertising agency in Melbourne.

Lydia holds an Advanced Diploma of Business and has extensive experience in finance.

When she isn’t managing the needs of the business, Lydia enjoys spending time with her family, keeping fit and relaxing with her friends.

Financial Modelling and Tax Subject Matter Expert

Tracy is our Financial Modelling and Tax Subject Matter Expert and specialises in creating accurate models of our clients’ financial circumstances. She has been an integral part of RI Advice Hobart since she started in 2013 and came to us with a wealth of tax and accounting knowledge. Tracy is a dedicated member of our team and has over 18 years of experience in accounting and tax.

Tracy holds a Bachelor of Commerce and is a member of the institute of Chartered Accountants.

When she’s away from work, Tracy enjoys spending time with her family and keeping fit at the gym.

Sarah Gregory

Client Services Officer

Sarah joined the RI Advice Hobart team in early 2015 as a client services officer. In her role, Sarah is tasked with the management and satisfaction of our clients. Before coming to RI Advice, Sarah worked as a personal assistant at Charlotte Peterswald For Property and as a full-time mum for her two young children.

Sarah holds a Cert IV in training and assessment, and will soon be undertaking financial planning studies to complement her work at RI Hobart.

Outside of work, Sarah dedicates her time to raising her children and volunteers at their school whenever she can.

Mark Horne

Mark Horne

Client Services Officer

Mark is one of our Client Service Officers and joined RI Hobart in 2016.He has previously been employed in the finance sector in financial and management accounting roles.

His role with RI Hobart is to manage the client's SMSFs and other entities and in addition provide assistance to Paul Gregg in the financial modeling of scenarios and strategies.

Outside of work Mark enjoys spending time with friends and participates in a variety of sports.
